Separate Ways
We are frequently called upon to locate subjects for a variety of reasons, including to be subpoenaed as litigants and witnesses in someone’s court case. For this purpose, we have several investigative subscription databases that contain pertinent information on almost every adult, living or have lived, in the United States over the past thirty years. These systems provide us with valuable information that the public typically does not have access to, including full names, aliases, address histories, dates-of-birth, social security numbers, and driver’s license numbers.
In one recent case, we were asked to locate a client’s estranged spouse so that he could file for divorce. He had reportedly lost contact with his wife over twenty years prior, but had recently met someone new he hoping to marry. His attorney rightly advised the man that he would need to get divorced from his first marriage before proceeding with the second. The problem was, the man had no idea where his wife was currently living, nor how to get a hold of her. Using our databases, our investigators were quickly able to locate this man’s wife. The woman had long since moved out to the west coast and was going by a different last name. The client was able to contact her, file for divorce, and then proceed as planned his new bride-to-be.
