Unwanted Attention

A few years ago, we were contacted by a woman who believed that someone was stalking her. She reported seeing a certain man and his vehicle at unusual times and places on a regular basis. We met with the woman, and she told us that the man was actually someone she had recently dated but had since ended it with when he became aggressive and too attached to her. This was something that he apparently did not take well, according to the client.

Soon thereafter, she, along with some of her friends and neighbors, reported seeing the man driving by her home at various times of the day and night, and seeing him when she was out shopping and going to her gym. She said he wouldn’t make eye contact with her, but instead seemed to be presenting himself so she would see him instead. This activity went on for weeks, so she began to get frightened.

Our investigators performed surveillance of the man and quickly determined that he was deliberately driving through her neighborhood and by places he knew she would frequent, including her local shopping center and her gym.

We documented this man’s behavior over the course of a few weeks and then referred her a local attorney. A cease-and-desist letter was then promptly served on the man, and the police paid him a quick visit at his home as well. That was the last our client saw of him.
