What Happens In Prague

Working in the Washington DC metro area presents several unique challenges for a private investigator, including that many of its citizens are from different countries and cultures. This was the case back in 2015, when we were hired to follow a man’s wife while she travelled back to her home country of the Czech Republic for the holidays. The husband suspected that she was not only going home to visit her family for the entire week, as she had reported, but rather, was going to also spend time with an old flame.

We were hired to travel to Czech Republic and document the wife’s activities. The first step in this investigation was to contract a private investigator in Prague to help, then purchase tickets for the same flights the wife was taking, so that we could identify who picked her up at the airport in Prague. Two of our investigators flew on the same flight with the woman to Europe. Once landed in Prague, one of our investigators approached the woman in the luggage collection area and started chatting with her under pretext.

Once landed in Prague, one of our investigators approached the woman in the luggage collection area and started chatting with her under pretext.

The two eventually walked out of the airport together and our investigators stood and watched as the woman was met by a man who was later identified as the suspected paramour. After the wife and man hugged and kissed hello, they headed out to the parking lot, hopped into the man’s car and drove off, but not without our Czech Republic counterpart in full pursuit.

The Czech investigator later reported observing the couple spending the night together at a countryside inn. Months later, and back in the United States, our investigators testified in court about the woman’s actions in Prague and our client was awarded a divorce on the grounds of adultery.
